Rambling, Rhyming Rakkhoshi! THE SERPENT’S SECRET by Sayantani DasGupta

First, thank you very much to libro.fm, Scholastic Audio, and Sayantani DasGupta for the librarian listening copy!

I have an embarrassing confession to make. This book? This book has been on my TBR for … wait for it… ALMOST TWO YEARS. W H A T?!

Luckily, the shelter in place order means that I have had lots of time around the house needing screen breaks, so I’ve been listening to a LOT of my TBR. I’m so excited to have been able to get a copy of this through libro.fm and get to listen! 🙂

My book talk is available here

Are you looking for action? Adventure? Mystical journeys through interdimensional spaces, an exploration of physics and black holes, rhyming rakkhoshi demons, AND one yellow bird with a serious penchant for dad jokes? Then you are in the right place! Pick this one up and join Kiran on an unforgettable adventure … and enjoy some eggcellent puns that will crack you right up along the way. 😉

WHOOPS — the blog rises again!

Uh, hi everyone!

Sorry about not posting for *checks watch* literal years. I’ve been reading! I just fell out of the habit of collecting my thoughts on each book and posting them, and the task of resurrecting this blog felt too much, and then it all just snowballed.

But here we are, sheltering in place, and I”m now making videos to recommend books to my students, so I thought, why not post those here, too?

The main function of this blog is still to help me remember what I liked about a book and why  I would recommend it to a young reader, so here we go!

First book talk: Stand Up, Yumi Chung! by Jessica Kim. Thank you to libro.fm, Penguin Random House, and Jessica Kim for the advanced listening copy!
